Early 20th Century bohemians were admirers of Southwestern American design. And this colorful pattern, adapted from a vintage serape, is right at home with modern boho style. The medallion motif has its roots in mid-to-late 1800's Vallero patterns of New Mexico. The original designs, found in Navajo and Spanish colonial weavings, featured stars and concentric diamonds.
